Description:

Measuring 31 inches overall, the spyglass is of alloy construction overall with black paint finish and a leather texture over much of the body. A hard rubber protective ring is installed around the objective lens, and the blackened brass eye bell is marked "U.S. NAVY/BU. SHIPS/ QM 16-POWER/MK. I NO.4599/1942". With the scope is a hardwood case with brass tag from the Kollmorgen Optical Corporation with Bureau of Ships markings. The spyglass is fine with some mild exterior wear, and the optics are clear. The case is very good as refinished with yellowed varnish on exterior, light scuffs and markings.
