Description:

Manufactured in 1879 with a stud/blade front sight behind the magazine retaining band, standard Fourth Model markings, and an "1873" notch and folding ladder rear sight. Despite the disadvantages of the Model 1866s compared to the Model 1873, the "Yellow Boy" remained popular in the American West throughout the late 19th century. They were the first true Winchester firearms and have a well-deserved place in American firearms collecting.
