PRF - PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED OR RESTORED

This is an attractive representative example of a scarce pre-war, "36" dated Luftwaffe contract Krieghoff Luger. Two digit dated Krieghoffs were actually a transition between the earlier "S" code and the later full 1936 dated Lugers. The chamber area, as noted, is marked "36" with the "3" and "6" slightly offset, with the remarked C-1 style Krieghoff toggle markings. The right side of the barrel extension is marked double "eagle/2" Luftwaffe Waffenamt proofs with the single "eagle" firing proof, with the lower frame rail having a single "eagle/2" proof. The underside of the barrel is marked with a single Luftwaffe Eagle firing proof over the smaller sized serial number (4755) of the pistol. The left side of the breechblock is numbered to the pistol and both the breechblock and toggle assembly have single "Eagle/2" Luftwaffe acceptance proofs. It is fitted with brown checkered plastic grips. It comes with one nickel plated magazine with an extruded aluminum base stamped with an inverted "eagle/2" Luftwaffe acceptance proof over: "4755/+".
