The lot contains the following mix of antique and modern items mostly related to the Civil War: 1) Bugle with mouth piece. 2) One wooden ramrod. 3) One lead ladle. 4) One set of T.B. Winter & Son binoculars 5) One wooden canteen. Similar wood canteen is pictured in "Collector's Encyclopedia of the American Revolution" by Newman. 6) One metal canteen. 7) Nine pieces of Confederate currency. 8) Metal canteen painted gold at reunion of old soldiers. 9) Two pairs of stirrups and one set of spurs.10) One "US" marked broken belt buckle. 11) "Personal Memoirs of U.S. Grant". 12) One "NG" marked leather cartridge case which consignor states is pictured on the back of the "Civil War Collector's Encyclopedia" published by Castle Books in 1965 and also on page 7. 13) One leather carbine saddle mount. 14) Two rifle caliber bullet molds. 15) Two gorgets. 16) One compass. 17) Two brass pins/insignias. 18) One tintype photo of a soldier. 19) Two cases of snake buckles. 20) 3 cases of assorted buttons. 21) Three mortar rounds. Condition ranges from poor to very good. Many of the items simply show wear appropriate to their age.
