Second Model manufactured in 1868 originally as a carbine and at some point the barrel was replaced. The barrel is marked with the two-line address/king's improvement patent dates and equipped with a blade front sight and adjustable rear sporting sight. The receiver is engraved with floral scroll patterns with a punch dot background. The left side of the receiver also has the Mexican eagle in a round panel. Full length magazine tube. Saddle ring and staple on the left side of the receiver and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with a brass forend cap and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate and compartment (cleaning rod not included).
