Description:

Factory letter confirms caliber, finish and shipped as 1 of 50 to Hartley & Graham, New York, NY, on 20 June 1881. Left grip has plaque marked "JUDGE THAYER," possibly referencing Webster Thayer (7 July 1857- 18 April 1933) who was a judge on the Massachusetts Superior Court best known as the trial judge in the Sacco and Vanzetti case.
