Manufactured in 1865. The top barrel flat is marked "HENRY'S PAT.OCT.16.1860/MANUFACT'D BY THE NEWHAVEN ARMS CO. NEWHAVEN. CT." ahead of the rear sight and serial number "7845" stamped behind the rear sight at the breech. The serial number is also marked on the left side of the lower tang. The buttplate and upper tang cutout of the stock are marked with the serial number "7745." The straight grip stock is fitted with a brass crescent buttplate with compartment (4-piece cleaning rod is included).
