Description:

Inland "6-43" barrel, with two batteries and a carrying pouch. Some cables absent. Scope/batteries untested. These scopes were originally manufactured in late 1944 and saw only very limited use in WWII with much greater use in Korea. The M3 is an active infrared device which allowed vision in total darkness at up to 125 yards as well as detection of infrared light sources (such as enemy IR sights and flashlights modified for signaling purposes) at up to a mile. The infrared scope unit was installed on this U.S. M1 carbine using a steel bracket on the barrel and rear sight base.
