Manufactured circa 1863. The top barrel flat is marked "HENRY'S PAT.OCT.16.1860/MANUFACT'D BY THE NEWHAVEN ARMS CO. NEWHAVEN. CT." ahead of the rear sight, and the serial number stamped behind the rear sight at the breech. The serial number is also found on the left side of the lower tang and upper tang cutout of the stock. The left side of the magazine has factory provisions for a sling mount. The top of the receiver at the rear has an empty dovetail sight slot. The straight grip stock is fitted with a brass crescent buttplate with compartment (cleaning rod not included).
