Jurors' sympathy for the James Brothers is often credited with preventing convictions.. The letter from October 1883 discusses hoping other cases against James will be dismissed. The March 1885 letter also discusses his trials noting no indictment was expected. 3) "The Life and Tragic Death of Jesse James". 4) "Detective Library" Issue No. 677. 5) "The Illustrated Police News Law-Courts and Weekly Record". Information regarding the author of the Frank James letters are included. Condition: Most items are very good for their age. The writing on the letters remains dark.
