Manufactured in 1882, the first year of the Sheriff's Model. Floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the barrel, cylinder flats, frame and back strap. Cross hatch and dots on the upper frame ahead of the cylinder, star on the trigger guard and middle of the back strap, and a shell motif on the recoil shield, loading gate and top of the back strap. Directly ahead of the trigger guard bow is stamped "B J".
