Very scarce early 1902 commercial Luger with the unusual "fat barreled" configuration in desirable 9 mm Luger. Early style frame with desirable early features such as the dished toggles with toggle lock, flat breech bolt, narrow trigger, no stock lug and grip safety. The underside of the barrel and left side of the barrel extension are both stamped with the early "Crown B and U" proof marks. The front of the frame is stamped "GERMANY" and it has the first type unmarked polished lower safety area on the rear of the frame. Fitted with walnut grips and a correct early commercial with a tin-plated magazine body and a wooden base with eh circular rings on the sides. The base is stamped "Cal 9 m/m" in script.
