Description:

Includes a beautiful silver mounted tomahawk by Colonial Williamsburg gunsmith Jon Laubach (active in Williamsburg 1974-1988 after completing his apprenticeship under Walace Gussler and Gary Brunfield), assortment of nine belt axes/tomahawks of varying sizes (five with hafts), a display plaque attributing a tomahawk as captured at Fort Ticonderoga by Captain Noel Phelps with the Green Mountain Boys during the Revolutionary War and purchased by the plaque's author and his grandfather in 1937 (measurements don't match any of the axes in the lot), and a copy of "Indian Tomahawks & Frontiersmen Belt Axes" by Hartzler and Knowles. Condition: The Laubach tomahawk is near new. The others are general good with moderate to heavy wear. The book is very good with minor shelf and storage wear.
