Description:

The glass display case contains three artillery rounds, 10 .69 caliber lead bullets, and one side knife/short sword blade without handle. The included document states these items were dug on private land with the land owner's permission north of Vicksburg overlooking the Mississippi River at the location of a Confederate battery. Also includes four swords/sabers (3 with scabbards). Two are reproduction Nashville Plow Works sabers. One is a Griswold sword reproduction. The final sword appears to be a genuine antique and comes with a document stating that it was owned by Lt. Moses Bean of the 4th North Carolina Regiment who had it shot out of his hand at Appomattox but later retrieved it and passed it down through the family. Parts of the upper and lower guard are absent. The items are generally fair to fine overall with moderate to heavy wear including oxidation.
