This is a Third Model manufactured in 1870. The barrel has inverted "V" front and folding ladder rear sights. Unusual receiver floral engraving incorporating wolf heads and a llama. Top of receiver is inscribed "Melquiades Saldivar." Warrior's head and floral motif relief carving on buttstock.
