1) Elwell, Robert Farthington (Am 1874-1962). The Pride of Texas "The Texas Longhorn" steer. This standing walking bronze of a Texas Longhorn shows the steer walking forward with both feet on the bronze ground with his head upwards to display the magnificent rack of horns that this beast has. The bronze is signed Elwell on the obverse base & rests on an oval beveled marble plinth. The dimensions are 22" x 10" x 19" Ht., wgt: @30 lbs. Very good condition. 2) The Bull & the Bear bronze statue signed Gardet, George (Fr: 1863-1939). This classic French Anamalier depicts the eternal struggle of 2 great powerhouses of nature & who will win. This same adaptation is also featured predominately with the Stock Market of today. The bull is charging with his head down into the bear that is on the ground trying to wrestle the bull down. The bronze rests on a rectangular marble base with brass nameplate attached to the front of the marble base. Dimensions: 16" x 16" x 9" Ht, wgt @25 lbs. Very good condition.
