P.J. Mene (Fr: 1810-1871). The Accolades classic horse bronze. This great anaimalier sculptor of the French School shown 2 arabian horses nuzzling each other in the open pasture field. The horses show the dynamic elaborate muscular appearance of the arabians with their feet firmly planted on the ground. The horses rest on a 1" thick rectangular marble beveled plinth with the name PJ MENE signed on the edge of the bronze base. Dimensions: HT: 15". L: 22", W 9 1/2", Wgt: 60#. Good condition.
