One of only five Model 1887s with factory engraving per Winchester records. This one was manufactured in 1888 and has an improved cylinder choke and 13 1/4" LOP. A Cody Firearms Museum Records Office form is included that lists it as shipped on July 25, 1888, with a 30" fine Damascus barrel, fancy checkered stock, "$4" engraving including an engraved monogram "WHW" and game scene, and gilt trigger. The engraving is arguably more ornate than the example on page 15 of "Winchester Shotguns & Shotshells" by Stadt which was said to likely be the most ornate Model 1887 known.
