1) U.S. Ames model 1860 light cavalry sword, 41" OAL, 34 3/4" blade marked "K.C./1865", brass hilt, wire wrapped leather grip, iron scabbard. Fair. 2) Officer's sword, 36 1/2" OAL, 30 3/4" etched blade with faint (possibly Solingen) markings, brass hilt, wire wrapped sharkskin grip, gold wire sword knot and blued iron scabbard with gilt brass fittings. Patches of dense pitting present on the scabbard, otherwise fair.
