Description:

12" OAL, with a 6 7/8" blade in "rosebud" pattern with gold washed Eickhorn logo, "Dem Forderer des Deutschen Luftsport/Gottlob Espenlaub" (The Patron of German Air Sport) on the obverse and "Luftsport Ortsgruppe Dusseldorf/1938" (Air Sport Local Group Dusseldorf) on the reverse. Blue leather wrapped grip and sheath, leather hanger. An early pioneer in glider technology, Espenlaub's work included rocket-assisted gliders and aerotowing. Dagger is very good as assembled, with rough spots on the leather.
