Description:

1-2) Each is 42" OAL, with a 35" straight single fuller blade, steel guard, checkered grip, and a canvas covered scabbard. 1) Springfield 1913 "Patton" cavalry sword with scabbard, dated "1914", leather sword knot. Good, mild spotting and nicks. 2) L.F.&C. 1913 "Patton" cavalry sword with scabbard, dated 1918. Fair, with some pitting. 3) Hilborn/Hamburger U.S.M.C. sword with scabbard and case. 37 1/2" OAL, 31 3/4" etched blade inscribed "J.H. Crawford", plastic grip, leather sword knot, nickel scabbard with leather belt hanger. With a cloth sword cover and a leather case initialed "J.H.C. III/USMC". Records show an Ensign J.H Crawford as a F6F-3 pilot aboard the U.S.S. Bunker Hill (CV-17) c.1944, though this is not confirmed as his sword.
