Unique Austrian custom prototype rifle manufactured in Tyrola region of Lower Austria circa 1970, and imported by Crusader Arms, Louisville, KY. Miniature Mauser type action, front locking lugs, detachable box magazine, double set triggers, headless cocking piece and grooved receivers for scope mounting. Barrel marked, "BOHLER RASANT/serial number 007" followed by "17", barrel stamped with Austrian "Eagle/NP" proof, followed by "2062.69". The magazine stamped "222 REM"/Austrian Eagle/TYRO". We believe it is chambered in 17/222. Mannlicher style stock with small Austrian style cheekpiece, hand carved "fish scale" pattern on the forearm and pistol grip area and ebony forend and extended grip cap. Original Pachmayr brown rubber recoil pad. With Redfield 2.5-8X scope with dot reticle. We've sold 3-4 in past auctions, and the highest serial number was 010! Interesting rifle worth further research.
