Description:

Constructed from feldgrau cloth with a darker green band, gold wire piping, and a set of flat machine woven eagle and cockade/wreath patches on the front. The patent leather visor is black on top and bottom, with a gray sweatband and a light yellow rayon inner lining. A "Deutsche Wertarbeit" label is present under the sweat diamond, with "G" and "S" tags on the sweatband. A decorated WWI veteran, Schmidt was a Generalleutnant commanding the 19th Panzer Division on the Eastern Front, and committed suicide on August 7, 1943 in the aftermath of the Battle of Kursk.
