OE - GOOD - some minor replacement parts; metal smoothly rusted or lightly pitted in places, cleaned; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal legible; lightly scratched, bruised or minor cracks repaired; in good working order.

Description:

Manufactured by Savage Revolving Arms Co. for Remington. Only 15,000 were ordered. They were delivered too late to see use in the Civil War and were repurchased by Remington and sold to the French for use in the Franco-Prussian War. It has a swirl stamp on the top of the receiver.
