Only around 14,000 of the iconic Henry lever action rifles were manufactured in 1860-1866 by Oliver Winchester's New Haven Arms Co. Given that around half of them were used by Union soldiers and their historical significance as the most important predecessor to Winchester's lever actions and as one of the most advanced Civil War firearms, every surviving Henry rifle is rare in desirable. This one was manufactured in 1862, plenty early enough to have seen significant use during some of the bloodiest and most significant battles of the "War Between the States." Most of the follower spring is absent. An original four-piece wooden cleaning rod is contained within the stock.
