Factory letter list serial number 498 with a 7 1/2" barrel, blue finish, wood stocks, and in .44 Rimfire when it was shipped to Spies Kissam & Company of New York, NY, on November 1, 1875. The letter also indicates serial number 498 in a shipment on October 4, 1877. However, this gun appears to have been remarked and assembled to match said letter.
