Description:

1) "1847" dated N.P. Ames Model 1840 Cavalry Saber with 35 1/2" curved blade. Fair with dark brown patina, oxidation, nicks along the edges, dark aged patina on the hilt, and moderate wear on the grip. 2) Nathan Starr Model 1812 Cavalry Saber with 34" curved blade. Fair with dark patina and oxidation, several nicks along the edge of the blade, and chipped and moderately worn grip. 3) "1864" dated Model 1840 Artillery Saber (maker's mark mostly worn but includes "MASS.") with 32 1/4" curved blade. Good with dark gray patina, mild oxidation, and several nicks on the blade; aged patina on the hilt, cracked and moderately worn grip with absent wire wrap, and lighter aged patina on the hilt. 4) "1861" dated Ames Model 1840 Artillery Saber with 32 1/4" curved blade. Good with dark gray and brown patina on the blade along with mild pitting and small nicks, aged patina on the hilt, absent wire wrap, and mild wear on the grip.
