Description:

1) Signed Type 98 style sword, 36 1/2" OAL, 25 1/2" blade with wavy hamon, metal saya, nine-figure cut signature and arsenal stamp on the left of the tang, three-figure paint marking on the right, two menuki, single mekugi-ana, blue and brown ribbon. Consignor attributes the sword to Noshu Ju Minamoto Kanehisa c. 1941. 2) Type 95 style sword, 36 1/2" OAL, 26 1/2" blade (pitted and polished) with fuller and numbered "145552", metal saya numbered "145680", brass tsuba, and leather NCO type loop. Both are fair or better.
