Description:

1) "1859" dated Ames Mfg. Co. U.S. Model 1840 Cavalry Saber with scabbard. Fine with dark gray patina along the blade, moderate wear on the grip including mostly absent wire wrap, and aged patina on the hilt. The scabbard is fair and has moderate oxidation/pitting, dark brown patina, and some dents. 2) "186?" dated Ames Model 1860 Light Cavalry Saber with scabbard and an "RDY" stamped leather sword knot. Fine with gray patina, light oxidation, moderate nicks and chips at the edges of the blade; deep aged patina on the hilt, moderate wear on the grip including some cracking, and light oxidation along the otherwise very good scabbard. 3) Tiffany & Co. imported P.D. Luneschloss Cavalry Saber. Fair with dark oxidation and moderate cleaning wear on the blade, black painted hilt with some flaking, and heavily worn grip wrapped with a thin rope.
