Description:

Receiver manufactured 1898. The included Cody Firearms Records Office information request lists the rifle as 40/60 caliber, 30 inch #3 weight octagon barrel, plain trigger, and graduated peep sight when shipped on 28 September 1898. It also lists a return date of 25 February 1899 for a set trigger and 32/40 barrel of #3 weight (possible typo, barrel marked #2 weight).
