Standard markings including the desirable "50 EX" caliber designation on the top of the barrel at the breech. British proofs on the left of the barrel, takedown collar, receiver, and on top of the bolt. Two faint cartouche-type circular stamps on the left of the buttstock. The included museum letter lists it as rifle, .50 Express, round barrel, plain trigger, takedown style, 1/2 magazine, shotgun buttstock, and shipped on 25 January 1902.
