Description:

1) Officer's sword (similar to the British Model 1827) imported from Solingen with eagle and "US" guard and coordinating etching on the 32" slightly curved blade. Includes a nickeled scabbard. Very good with minor staining on the otherwise bright blade, distinct etched, deep aged patina on the hilt, mildly worn grip with absent wire wrap, and dented scabbard. 2) 1863 dated Model 1840 NCO sword with 31 3/4" straight blade, partially visible "MSFORD, MS" maker's mark, and leather scabbard with brass fittings. Sword is very good with blunted tip and light patination on the otherwise bright blade and natural aged patina on the hilt. The scabbard is fair with break at the drag, dented hardware, and mild wear.
