A) Cased New York Engraved S&W Model 1 1/2 Second Issue Revolver with Pearl Grips

Description:

According to the included factory letter this revolver was shipped on march 24, 1873 to M. W. Robinson of New York City, NY as a plain nickel gun. It was then engraved (likely by M. W. Robinson) with near full coverage floral scroll. With a period hardwood case, 14 rounds of .32 RF, and 2 rounds of .32 RF Long. Pictured and described on pages 181-184 of "Guns That Shaped Our Nation. . . A Collector's Notes" by Lt. Col. Nicholas C. Belmonte.
