The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed on November 20, 1884 for a Mr. Harold Buckley noting it as a 12 bore “B Quality” backaction hammer game gun using a Grant & Hodges patent treble grip action with sidelever and weighing 7 lbs. 1 oz. The records go on to note that this gun appears to originally have been paired with 11507 but were split prior to sale. With browned barrels with concave rib. Casehardened scroll engraved action with carved percussion fences and floating "island" locks. Blued trigger guard with patent grip safety. Well figured walnut straight and stock with checkered grip and forearm. Provenance: The Malcolm King Collection.
