OE - GOOD - some minor replacement parts; metal smoothly rusted or lightly pitted in places, cleaned; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal legible; lightly scratched, bruised or minor cracks repaired; in good working order.

Description:

The included copy of a factory letter indicates the revolver was shipped along with 24 others to J.W. Storrs & Co. in New York City on March 16, 1863, with a 6" barrel, blue finish, and rosewood grips and that the engraving was completed through them. The intertwining scroll and star engraving may be by Nimschke. Comes in a leather-bound wooden lock box case (fair) with a key, mostly full box of Western .32 Short RF cartridges, a tintype of an older woman, notebook marked as property of R. C. Miller of Herkimer, N.Y. with notes dealing with railway business, wallet with handwritten notes including poetry, and four 19th century nickels (three shield nickels).
