Description:

1) Air Corps themed helmet, with a faded roundel on top, the name and emblem (a kicking mule) of the 95th Aero Squadron on the front, and painted ribbons for Champaign, Verdun and Toul-Marne. Some damage/loss to the internal webbing, with the shell showing some dents and spotting. 2) USMC themed helmet, with brass Corps logo screw-back pin driven through the front over a painted logo of an Indian head on a white star on a yellow square. "CMG" is hand written on the underside of the lip; an attached note suggests that "CMG" is a Private Charles M. Gumbert of the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines. Lining absent, chinstrap stained/torn, shell shows mild dents and oxidization. 3) Battle damaged helmet, plain brown patina finish with a number of dents and a few splits in the metal suggestive of shrapnel damage or similar trauma. The liner is worn and the chinstrap is cracked. 4) USMC themed helmet, decorated similar to 2 with a diamond instead of the square and the emblem below the Indian head instead of above. Heavy wear and tear on the interior, mild oxidization on the shell.
