Knight's Head Pommel Militia Officer's Sword with scabbard. Measures 38 inches overall with a 31 3/4 inch etched blade with central fuller and patriotic motifs. The guard and pommel are gilt brass and the hexagonal cross section grip is silver plated. Scabbard shows floral and patriotic motifs and is stamped "F. W. WIDMANN/PHILADA". Very good with some of the original gilt and silver plated finishes remaining. Construction has loosened with age.
