Approximately 3,800 manufactured in the mid-1870s. Includes modern wood case, oiler, cleaning brush, tool, modern cartridges, and key with an attached old plaque marked "C. C. ARCHER/Att'y at Law./68W. 3rd. St./Cincinnati, Ohio". A 1917 dated obituary was found in the Cincinnati Enquirer for a Chapman C. Archer (1843-1917) who practiced law.
