Hand-scribed "Munich, Germany 1937" on the right side of the magazine, "M.C.U.S. Army O-11745" on the left, and "Col. F.T. Chamberlin" on the left side of the receiver; the consignor attributes this signature to Colonel Frank Chamberlin, military trauma surgeon, ballistics expert, and early proponent of the "hydrostatic shock" model of gunshot trauma.
