Manufactured in 1887, subsequently embellished and inscribed. Factory letter lists revolver with a 7 1/2" barrel in .44 caliber and blue finish when shipped to Gordon Hardware Co., Seattle, Washington Territory on September 18. 1887. "Wm Traweek" inscribed on the back strap, possibly referencing or for Texas Ranger William B. Traweek (1853-1942). Traweek was later a city marshal in Texas around the time this revolver was manufactured.
