Description:
The gilt pin at the top of the this ribbon is marked "1846-1848" and has a gilt shield shaped badge hung from it with chains, the badge marked "PALO ALTO/CITY OF MEXICO/1846". Also hanging from the pin is a blue silk ribbon with crossed American flags and "VETERANS/OF THE/MEXICAN WAR" and gold tassels as the bottom. Also includes a printout of "Military Medals of the Mexican War 1846-1848" by Douglas W. Boyce. Very fine, showing minimal wear and generally an attractive slightly aged appearance.
