"1874" dated receiver. One of only 500 purchased by the rebellious province of Buenos Aires. "EN" (Ejercito Nacional) marking on the barrel and right of the buttstock, likely applied after the federal Argentine Army took down the rebellion and reissued these rifles to loyal national guard units. Includes a "71" dated Suhl Model 1871 faschinenmesser pioneer sawback bayonet with "E.A.2.113" regimental markings, and brass tipped leather scabbard.
