Description:

Black wool construction with silver band piping, bullion eagle and cockade emblems, and a black leather visor. The interior is fitted with a brown leather sweatband (marked with a tag reading "Dr", with imprints from two more, now missing, initial tags), with makers marks for Litto-Muetze of Vienna, "Sonderklasse" grade marking and a white label marked "Dr. Arthur Seyss-Inquart" on/in the sweat diamond. A prominent Austrian Nazi, Seyss-Inquart served as an occupation authority in Austria, Poland and the Netherlands, as well as Admiral Doenitz's Foreign Minister during the short-lived post-Hitler administration. Two printed images him, including one with a similar cap, are included.
