Description:

A note attached to the chain of this watch attributes it as having been owned by the Comanche Chief, Quanah Parker. The face of the chronograph watch also has dials for day, date, and moon phase. The face is white with royal blue numerals and gilt floral patterns around the edge. The movement is marked with the Swiss cross followed by "1712". The glass backed case is engraved with floral motifs around the edges. The attached chain has a period fob with a colored plastic gem at its center. Also included is a cased daguerreotype photograph of Quanah Parker, that is labeled as such inside the lid of the case. The watch if very good with the metal of the case showing an attractive grey patina, some mild wear on the face, and appearing to function as it should. The daguerreotype is fine, with distinct image and mild wear on the case.
