Description:

1) Gilt knob handle with relief floral engraving, inscribed "Elk Friends/TO/Joe Bartoon" on top. The ebonized shaft is tipped with German silver/iron. Measures 39" overall. 2) Gilt L-shaped handle relief engraved with floral motifs with a panel on one side inscribed "Presented to/J.F. Gmelich./G.M. of I.O.O.F. of Mo./by Members of Far West Lodge No. 4/Boonville Mo. July 23rd 1888." The shaft is ebonized and tipped with German silver/iron. Measures 34 1/2" overall. Both are fine or better, retaining much of the gilt finish and some mild loss of the ebonized finish on "2", but otherwise minimal wear.
