The included factory letter list this revolver as a "standard blue New Model No. " when it shipped from the factory on September 28, 1908 to a "Montana Jack" with no address given. The revolver has been converted to rimfire with modification to the firing pin. Unknown symbol on the left grip panel. With walnut shoulder stock with nickel attaching iron and replacement cylinder, barrel latch, and grips. Montana Jack has not been positively identified, however, a good candidate is boxer Montana Jack Sullivan, who made his debut in 1903.
