In the accompanying letter addressed to Savage expert and author Bailey Brower noted arms historian Roe Clark states, "This rifle was assembled from parts I located at the factory in 1980. As you note, i was unable to locate a medallion for the stock, which didn't worry me too much. I purchased this rifle from the factory March 10 1980...This rifle remained in my possession until i finally disposed of it August 10, 1996." The included Massachusetts Department of Public Safety Customer Record indicates the rifle was owned by Roe Clark. This is certainly a one-of-a-kind commemorative Savage rifle made more special by being owned by a well respected arms historian. Provenance: The Bailey Brower, Jr. Collection, author of “Savage Pistols”
