Description:

This large oak case appears to be fitted for a revolver, possibly an Adams patent variation, with a blank brass escutcheon on the lid. The interior of the lid has an E.M. Reilly & Co. label (partially detached) with the 16, New Oxford Street, London address. The interior is fitted for a revolver, a cartridge board with 36 slots for cartridges, another small empty compartment, and includes a cleaning rod, oiler, screwdriver, and key. Very fine, the exterior and interior of the case showing minimal wear apart from the partially detached label.
