Antique Winchester Model 1885 Special Single Shot Target Rifle manufactured in 1891, in 32-40 WCF. These are a pre-schuetzen type target rifle that is fitted with a Winchester Factory single set trigger. Has its original 29 1/4 inch half round, half octagon, #4 weight Winchester factory barrel with the two line markings on top with "32-40" caliber markings in front of the receiver. The Winchester barrel is fitted with Winchester windgauge adjustable target front sight and a later pattern Lyman tang rear sight. The top of the barrel is fitted with Unertl type scope blocks. Standard straight grip buttstock with the 3rd pattern Winchester large Swiss double prong buttplate. The Winchester Schnabel tip forend has its black insert and under side fitted with a baseplate for a Winchester palm rest (no palm rest included).
