Description:

1)Model 1818 Cavalry Sword with Scabbard 39" OAL, 34" blade marked "P/HHP/N.STARR" on the right side, iron stirrup guard, leather grip, and iron scabbard. Grip rough, metal spotted, screws absent from throat, otherwise good. 2) Nathaniel Starr 1812 Contract Pattern Cavalry Sword. Measuring 38 1/2 inches long, with a 33 1/2 inch blade showing a flat back clip at the tip and "P/HHP/NSTARR" on the right ricasso. The iron guard is shaped in a stirrup pattern, with a leather covered ribbed hardwood grip. Fine, the metal shows a grey-brown patina, some scattered light oxidation, numerous heavy dings/nicks in the edge, and moderate wear on the grip.
